Fishing Fun-June 28 2006

Today I went fishing with Maggie. We caught 5 really small Pike.We caught a Smallmouth Bass weighing 3/4 lb. We caught a Smallmouth Bass weighing 1 3/4 lb.
We also caught a big Smallmouth Bass tipping the scales at 3 1/2 lb.

All fish were live released.

Fishing Fun-June 25 2006

Bass fishing officially opened yesterday. However; Leslie, Brad & I couldn't get out until today. Here is Brad with his small (3/4 lb. ) Smallmouth Bass. Brad also caught one about 1 lb.
Here I am with my little 3/4 lb Smallmouth Bass & Brads 1 lb. We also lost several more small Bass. The big ones just didn't seem to around.

Fishing Fun-June 18 2006

It was a very hot & humid morning; even out on the lake! We only fished from 8:00 am untill 11:00 am.Even in this heat I managed to catch this 3.7 lb---26 inch Pike.
I also caught 2 very small Pike. 1 was 13 inches & the other 1 was 15 inches.
Plus 1 out of season Smallmouth Bass. It weighed in at 1.7 lb. All fish were live released.

Fishing Fun-June 12 2006

Today was another day of Lake Trout fishing. Went with Admiral Rick & Cabin Girl Leslie. Keep in mind that I was the only one fishing because I was the one with the perfect method of catching these fish.I caught a total of 5 Lake Trout with the largest being around 6 lb.I also caught a Smallmouth Bass weighing about 2 lb. I also lost 2 fish. One felt even bigger than this one that I am holding up. All in all; a pretty good morning of fishing.

Today I went fishing with my no good brother-in-law & his buddy Guy.And of course Leslie. It was very cold and very windy. However, this time I caught the only fish of the day. My Pike weighed in at 5 lb.It was 27 1/2 inches.Live released to bite again!

Oncc again I went fishing with Leslie & Brad. And once again Leslie supplies the catch of the day.This Pike was a little larger than the average size we have been catching. This Pike weighed in at 5 1/2 lb.
It measured 28 inches Nice fish Leslie!

Fishing Fun-June 6 2006

Went fishing for Lake Trout today with Rick.I had a great morning.I caught 4 Lake Trout weighing between 2 1/2 lb up to 5 lb. Unfortunately, Rick didn't have any luck catching any fish; but he did get to take 2 home with him for supper.So far this year I have caught more Lake trout than I have Pike.

Once again fishing with Leslie has its benefits. She catches most of the fish! This Pike weighs 3 3/4 lb & measures 27".This Pike managed to escape at the side of the boat. Sorry, no weight & no measurement.
Good thing someone can catch fish. Otherwise I wouldn't have anything to hold up!

Went fishing with Brad, Cheryl, & Ben.First fish of the day was an out of season Smallmouth Bass. It weighed 2 lb.This is me making Ben's fish look a little bigger.Second fish of the day was caught by me. This Pike measured 26 inches & weighed 4 lb. Third fish of the day was caught by Brad from the dock. It was a small Smallmouth Bass & it weighed around 3/4 lb.

Went fishing for Lake Trout with the Master again. Lake trout # 1 was caught by me.
It weighed 3 lb & measured 21 1/2 inches. Lake Trout # 2 was caught by Casey. It weighed 2lb 8 oz & was 20 1/4 inches.Lake Trout # 3 was caught by me. It weighed 2 lb 3 oz 7 was 19 1/4 inches.

One was caught at 8:16, one at 8:32, and one at 8:42.
Not bad. Three Lake Trout in less than 1/2 hour.
