Aug 17 2011-Diane and Floyd

After a couple of years of trying to get together with Diane and Floyd for a boat cruise, we finally made it! First things first. The girls went for a swim.

Then a picnic on the boat.

Even the rubber duckies enjoyed themselves.

Time to head back to the marina. On the way back, Joanne wanted to show off her skills, and of course she caught a nice Smallie!

Aug 16 2011-1st Largemouth Bass

I went down to the dock early in the morning to get the boat ready for a day of fishing. Watched the sun come up and got a couple of pics with the mist rising off the water.

I caught the first Largemouth Bass of the year off the dock. It wasn't big, but it's nice to see that there still some of them around.

Here's Doug out fishing in his new boat.

It was a beautiful day for fishing, but the fish were not very active. Joanne caught a Perch, and that was it!

Aug 11 2011-Now That's A Bass

Now that's a Bass! This monster bass was 21 1/2 inches long!

It weighed in at 5 lb 7 oz. Biggest Smallmouth Bass I've ever seen caught in Lake Muskoka! It was live released to be enjoyed again.

Aug 11 2011-Michael's Time To Shine!

I took Rick and his two grandsons out for an evening of fishing. This was Michael's time to shine! He started off with this huge Smallmouth Bass. Then a Pike.

Then another Bass.

Another nice Bass. He also caught 3 more smaller fish. Good job Michael!

Christopher at least caught one Bass on the way back to the dock. Great time had by all.

Aug 10 2011-Out Fished Again!

We went out for a couple of hours and once again Joanne caught the biggest fish! This is my big fish of the day. Even putting my two fish together couldn't match Joanne's fish.

Nice Pike Joanne. It would be a better picture if Joanne was holding up her own Fish!

Aug 8 2011-Joanne Quit Smoking

We went out for a couple of hours to see if we could catch a monster Bass! Well, this fish could hardly be called a monster, but maybe some day! Here is the last picture of Joanne with a cigarette in her hand. She has QUIT! Congrats Joanne!

We watched the sun go down and headed home.

Aug 3 2011-Fishing In The Rain

Today Udo and I are fishing in the rain. It was raining when we started and it was still raining when we left! We caught a Pike fishing in the rain.

We caught another Pike fishing in the rain.

We caught a Bass fishing in the rain.

We caught another Bass fishing in the rain. I didn't think we would catch anything fishing in the rain because fish don't like to get wet!

Aug 2 2011-Off To Boston Pizza

After Joanne gave us all a lesson on how to catch big fish, we headed off to Boston Pizza for an early dinner. We went past " Bird Island " Then we passed the Sequin.

Then we parked at the public dock in Gravenhurst.

Ready to eat!

After dinner, a couple of pics, then on our way back to Allport Marina. Great day!

Aug 2 2011-Joanne's First Lure

We are taking Daryl and Lian out for a bit of fishing before we head to Boston Pizza in Gravenhurst. I went down to the boat to get everything ready for our trip. Of course I made a couple of casts off the dock and managed to catch a nice Pike. We're ready. Let the fun begin!

Joanne picked out her first lure. Said she had a feeling about it. Third cast-A 30" Pike. This is her biggest Pike so far!

My turn to catch a Pike. Not as big as Joanne's.

Joanne gets another Pike on her new lure. Off to Boston Pizza.

July 30 2011-Fish and Chips

Joanne decided that it would be fun to go out and catch a few fish for dinner with Daryl and Lian. Home made "Fish and Chips". This Bass is not very big, but it's a start! A 19 1/4" Pickerel. Nice fish Joanne! Looks like we might have enough.

Another small Bass for dinner.

And another nice Bass. Looks like we can let one of the smaller bass go back into the lake.

And once again Joanne gets another big Bass. Joanne is very good at catching the bigger fish. Thanks to her, the "Fish and Chip" dinner was great and no one left the table hungry!

July 27 2011-After Our Walk

After our walk along the Wilson's Fall Trail, we decided to go down to the boat and do a little fishing. Nice Smallmouth Bass! A cute little smallie.

Joanne gets a little Perch.

Back at the house, our Oriental Lily's have decided to bloom.

Beautiful colours and an amazing aroma!
