July 14 2010-Golf or Fishing?

It's that time of the year again when I must go out and whack a little white ball all over the golf course. This year we rented a couple of Hot Rods to get us quickly around and not hold up the golfers behind us. I think everyone is waiting for me to figure out how to hit the ball in a straight line.

Daryl certainly has no trouble hitting the ball straight and far.

Joanne is no slouch when it comes to smacking the ball. I think she has done this before.

Me? I think I should stick to fishing! I have a lot more luck catching a fish than I do putting a ball in a little hole in the ground!

July 11 2010-Tegan's Annual Fishing Trip

Once again it's that time of the year when Tegan and Karin have come to Bracebridge for their annual fishing trip with Joanne and I. As you can see, Tegan is ready to catch the big one! Tegan is learning to drive the boat to our favorite fishing spot.
Wow! Tegan has managed to hook into the biggest seaweed of the day!

After all that hard work landing the big one, it's time for a refreshing swim.

I couldn't beat Tegan's big seaweed, but I managed to catch this Smallmouth Bass. While holding the fish up for a picture it splashed water up Tegans nose. I guess you had to be there, but it was very funny. All in all, a great day and looking forward to next years trip.

July 7 2010-Daryl and Lian

Daryl and Lian arrived from Edmonton for a vacation in Muskoka. First thing on the agenda is a boat ride on the Walkabout. We were greeted by a beautiful warm and calm morning. Everyone smile at the camera!
First a swim ----

Then a bite to eat----

Then a bit of fishing. A cute 14" Smallmouth Bass joined us for some excitement and a photo shoot. Great day. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

July 6 2010-Hot,Hazy, and Calm

Rick and I went out this mornng and were greeted by a hot, hazy and calm day. It warmed up so fast and got so hot we were off the lake before noon.We were, however able to catch a couple of small bass before calling it quits. Both of these bass were caught within 5 minutes apart. I think these bass were twins. That was all the action we had and it was time to get off the lake and find a cooler way to spend our afternoon.

June 23 2010-This Fish Was Caught Before

First fish of the day was caught by Joanne. The only thing different about this fish was that it was caught before. If you look carefully at the two pictures below you will see a piece of fishing line hanging out of its poop shoot.

The next Smallie was caught by me. Joanne looks better holding it up!

This chunky fish was 2 1/2 lb.
