Aug 19 2009- A Day in Udo's Boat

Just for a change of scenery we took Udo's boat for a day of fishing! And away we go. First fish of the day was caught by Udo. It wasn't very big, but at least it was a fish.

When the fish aren't biting, there's no place better to relax than out on the lake on a nice day.

Looks like I caught one too! Again it was not very big, but it was beautiful! All in all, it was still a great day.

Aug 12 2009-Shorts & Bikinis

For the first time this summer, the weather is hot. There were people all over Lake Muskoka out and about enjoying the heat. Even the Lady Muskoka was full! There was all kinds of wild life out enjoying the day as well, including this familly of merganzers.

It was so warm, even I got into a pair of shorts. First time I've been in shorts in a long time.

Even Joanne decided to try on her new Bikini. Nice eh? Oh, we did some fishing as well but were unable to entice any fish to join on onboard for a photo shoot. Great day!

Aug 5 2009-Windy and Cool

Another day out fishing with Udo on Lake Muskoka. Today was very windy and cool and the sun played peek-a-boo with the clouds. Even got the odd little sprinkle now and then. First catch of the day was a clam! It wasn't even a live clam. No snacks available here.

However, Udo has his own supply of snacks. Live minnows!

Finally! A real fish! This little Pickerel was Udo's first in Lake Muskoka

I figured that I might as well catch a fish too! A cute little Pike! That was all the action for one day, so homeward bound we went.

July 21 2009-Lopsided Boat Ride

Another beautiful day in Muskoka. Today we are joined by friends of Joanne. This is Brenda clowning around in front of the camera. And this is Oggie just staying out of the way and trying to avoid the camera.

Both Brenda and Oggie are big people and when they sit on the same side of the boat it comes a little lopsided.

As a result, the boat kept wanting to go in circles. Just kidding!

The pictures from outside the boat were taken by Judy. Udo and Judy just happened to be out fishing and caught up us with to say hello. We caught no fish, but at least Udo managed to catch a couple of Smallmouth Bass.

July 15 2009-Threesome on the Walkabout(Part 2)

Shortly after Joanne caught her Pike, I managed to hook into this 15" Smallmouth Bass. Margaret wanted to take a fish home for dinner, so we released the Pike and kept the Bass.

And then Margaret caught this really nice 16 1/2" Bass. I beleive that this is her largest Bass that she has ever caught. This fish went home with her for dinner as well.

And then Joanne caught her biggest Pike ever. This monster was 27" long and was released to bite another day.

Just as we were heading back to the marina with 2 very sunburned girls, we had another visit from the OPP. Once again, no problem! Even the flashlight worked. All in all, we had a great day.

July 15 2009- Threesome on the Walkabout (Part 1)

A beautiful morning in Muskoka for a threesome on the Walkabout. Today I'm fishing with Joanne and Margaret. As you can see, there are a few distractions, but hopefully I can keep my mind on the business at hand and catch a few fish!

First fish of the day is a small Perch caught by Joanne. It's all I can do not to make comment on this picture!

The next fish is a small Pike, also caught by Joanne.It was 24" long.

Nice Fish!

July 14 2009-No More Winter Storage Fees

For the last couple of years I have been searching around for a trailer for my pontoon boat. I found one that is perfect and the price was right.

The trailer is now stored at Udo's place. The boat will be kept there during the winter as well.

No more winter storage fees!

July 8 2009-Fishing with Udo

Another day out fishing with Udo. First fish of the day was caught by Udo. This Smallmouth Bass was 17" long and weighed around 2 1/2 lbs. Second fish of the day was caught by me. Unfortunately, my fish was so small we didn't bother with a photo. However, Udo let me hold up his fish. This fish came home with me for dinner. Joanne has never had Bass before and wanted to give it a try. She enjoyed it!

July 4 2009-Party Time

Once again it's party time in Muskoka. For the fifth year in a row we celebrated Tegans birthday at Oma's house. This year we had another birthday to celebrate as well. Campbell is 6 months old today. Here are a few pics of my favourite grand children!

June 25 2009-The Best Catch of All

Today, June 25 2009 Joanne and I decided to move in together. Time to empty the apartment and find a new home for all her possesions.
First the medicine cabinet. Next the living room.

Now the dining room. Nice eh?

Even the little corner in the living room.

And of course, the bedroom.

Joanne is the best catch of all!
