Jan 26 2011-ICE FISHING!!!!!

The day we have all been waiting for. Fishing 2011! The first thing we have to do is get Udo to drill all the holes. Then Udo has one on! Great action shot!

Even I got into the fun! We caught a total of 7 Lake Trout. We kept one each for a meal and the rest we live released. Lots of action and a great time!

Nov 9 2010-Goodbye Old Maple

A very sad time has come upon us. It is time to say goodbye to the One Hundred year Old Maple Tree in our back yard. This old tree over the years has become more and more hollow. It has become the home of many squirrels and other critters.

It's time to take it down before it falls down and causes damage to our property and the neighbours.

Last piece.

We left the trunk as a monument of what a great tree it was. So sad to see it go!

Nov 7 2010-Neil Diamond Tribute

Joanne and I received free tickets to see a Neil Diamond tribute concert at the Sports Complex in Bracebridge. The band was great.

He really sounded like Neil Diamond and played all the greatest hits. I was quite impressed.

Oct 26 2010-Putting The Walkabout To Bed

It's time to put the Walkabout to bed for the winter.
Step 1-Remove the top and all the sides. Step 2-Build the frame. ( this year we are using ABS pipe for the frame )

Step 3-Winterize the motor.

Step 4-Place Bounce sheets in the boat to keep out the critters.

Step 5-Go home, we're done! See you in the spring!

Oct 23 2010-Casino Rama

We went to Casino Rama for a buffet dinner and a concert. Who did we see? ---America! Once again (this is the fourth time I've seen them) they were great!

Oct 21 2010-My 60th Birthday

It's my 60th Birthday! Karin and Tegan drove all the from North Bay for a surprise visit with balloons and cupcakes in hand. Here comes the cupcakes!!! Yum!!!

Make a wish and blow out the candles. It's a good thing Tegan was there to help.

We did it!

Joanne also got me some balloons and a beautiful card. The other item in my hand is an external hard drive for the computer. Thanks Joanne for a wonderful birthday!

Oct 19 2010-Closing Up The Cottage

After taking the Walkabout to it's winter home, it's time to go up to Udo's cottage and close it up for the winter. First, shut down and drain the water pump.

Drain underneath the kitchen sink and were're done.
