Sept 20 2011-Snooze Time

Another beautiful day in Muskoka! This young Loon was born this spring and now is on it's own. My turn to catch a Bass.

And a Pike.

And another small Bass.

Joanne got tired of watching me catch all the fish, so she decided to take a little nap.

Oct 26 2011-R.I.P. Josh

Josh passed away last night around 5:00 PM. Joanne and I were with him. He is now and will always be missed.

Sept 13 2011-Toronto Zoo

We took a day off from fishing to go to the Zoo,Zoo,Zoo! We saw Tigers.

We saw an Elephant.

We saw Lions.

We saw a Red River Warthog. The Zoo was great and the weather was fantastic. It was a great way to spend a day and we would do it again just to see what we missed. The Zoo is too big to see in one day!

Sept 7 2011-Down, But Not Out!

After having all our tackle stolen, we were a little down. So we went out and bought 4 new lures. Joanne decided to try one out off the dock and along comes this little Pike. We know this lure works! This nice little bass likes the new lure.

Aug 31 2011-SOLD-Part 3

Tomorrow, the new people take possesssion of the cottage. So, we are enjoying the last sunset! Enjoying the last sunrise.

Aug 30 2011-SOLD-Part 2

After replacing the element in the hot water tank, it's time to go fishing! We also had to replace the battery in the boat; but that's another story.

We caught more than 50 Smallmouth Bass.

None were very big!

But the action was great and we had a lot of fun!

Aug 30 2011-SOLD-Part 1

Udo and Judy have sold their cottage on Crane Lake. Only two more days before the new owners take possession. Udo has invited me to spend the last couple days closing down the cottage and to do a little fishing. Here we are ready to launch for the last time. And away we go!

Aug 29 2011-Very Bad/Sad News!

I'm going fishing with Udo tomorrow at his cottage on Crane Lake. Joanne and I went down to the boat to gather up some fishing tackle to take with me and------ there was none! Some so called asshole who calls himself a fisherman helped himself to all my tackle boxes.

There were 3 tackle boxes full of lures gone. Years of accumulating lures-gone! Who ever the jerk was knew what he wanted. He did not take any rods,net or any other equipment.

The one calls himself a fisherman also took two pair of needle nose pliers. The sad thing is, he may have a great collection of lures, but it will not increase his chances of catching any fish. Anyone who steals from another fisherman is not a fisherman! He/she is just another big Asshole with no purpose in life other than failure. Joanne and I still have enough tackle at home to continue catching those big fish. This little setback will not slow us down. If this low life follows this blog, he will see us continue to catch huge fish. Tomorrow, I'm off to Udo's cottage to have a great time and catch lots of fish.

Aug 23 2011-Trip To Bala-Part 2

On our way back from Bala we decided to stop at our favourite fishing spot and try our luck before heading home. As usual, Joanne comes through and lands a big 22 1/2" Pickerel. And a 19" Pickerel!

I caught a small Bass.

And a Pike.

And of course, Joanne catches a bigger Pike. All these fish were caught in less than 1 1/2 hours. We're tired and it's time to head home. Today we were on the lake a total of 13 hours. Great day!

Aug 23 2011-Trip To Bala-Part 1

Today is a perfect day to head to Bala for an ice cream cone. Straight ahead=Bala. We made it! Park at the public dock, then head into town.

MMMM-Ice Cream! The store was all done up in a Coca Cola theme. Really cute.

The Bala Bay Falls. Unfortunately, the water level was down and the falls were not all that impressive. Time to head back and do a little fishing before we head home.

Aug 19 2011-Fish and Chips

We decided if we catch enough fish, we will have homemade Fish and Chips for dinner tonight. I caught mine! Joanne catches a bigger one. ( she usually does ) Now we have enough. Lets eat!

Joanne catches another Pickerel. We already have enough, so this one was released.

These should be more than enough for homemade Fish and Chips!
