Oct 17 2012-Cold Water/Hot Water

It's that time of the year again when the boat must come out of the cold water and go to bed for the winter. As you can see, Joanne sheds a little tear!

Coming in for a landing to load the boat on the trailer.

And once again a big thanks to Udo for all his help!

We had to quickly cover the boat so that we could head home and replaced our hot water tank. It sprung a leak just as we were leaving to get the boat out of the water cold water.

So here I am replacing the hot water tank. We will cover the boat and get it ready for winter next week. Hope the weather holds!

Oct 2 2012-Last Day of Fishing

Today Udo and I are going out for the last day of fishing for 2012. It was a beautiful and very calm morning. First fish, a great size Bass caught by Udo on a live minnow.

Second fish of the day was a Pike caught by me on a Mepps.

Third fish of the day was caught by Udo, again on a live minnow

Udo catches another nice Bass, again on a live minnow!

I managed to catch two more Pike an a Mepps. Great weather and a great last day of fishing for 2012. See you next year for more exciting action!

Sept 16 2012-Annual Golf Game

Time for our annual game of golf with Daryl and Lian before they head back to Edmonton.

Four! It's hard to see, but I was holding up the # 4. It was worth a giggle or two.

Great form, but a little closer to the ball would help!

Final good-byes! Daryl and Lian are leaving tomorrow. Going to miss them!

Sept 12 2012-Boobies Make Me Smile

After our stay at Deerhurst Resort, I put on my new T-shirt (Joanne gave this to me for our anniversary) to go fishing with Daryl and Lian one last time before they head back to Edmonton! Boobies make me Smile!

Must be a lucky shirt because I caught this nice plump 4 lb Smallmouth Bass. Boobies make me Smile!

Lian caught a fish too! A cute little Perch!

After an afternoon of fishing, it's off to The Old Station Restaurant for a meal. Boobies make me Smile!

Sept 11 2012-Deerhurst Resort

It is our second wedding anniversary and we wish to thank all of you who contributed to this gift certificate on our wedding day. The resort was outstanding, great food and great accommodations!

Chilled wine and chocolate covered strawberries to greet us on the coffee table. We ate all the strawberries and passed on the wine.

Amazing kitchen which we never used.

Amazing living room which we never used.

Amazing whirlpool tub which we did use. We had a great weekend. Thanks everyone!

Sept 3 2012-Pike Caught Twice

This is Joanne's Pike. As you can see, there is a leader hanging out the Pike's mouth. This is not our leader, this Pike was caught once before!

After removing all the hardware, we live released the fish to be caught again. ( a third time maybe? ) Nice Pike Joanne!

After all the hard work, Joanne decided to cool off and have a swim.

It looks like my home made swim ladder makes it a lot easier to get out of the water and back onto the boat.

After a swim, Joanne caught this cute little Bass.

Aug 29 2012-Daryl's First Bass On The Walkabout!

Daryl and Lian joined us this morning for day of fishing and Daryl caught his first Bass on the Walkabout!

And a nice Bass it was!

Where there is one, there must be another.

And there was! A cute little Perch!

This a picture of Daryl and I looking at the one that got away. I caught a huge Pike ( 18 to 20 lb ) and just as Daryl was lifting the fish into the boat, it ripped through the net and was gone. It was the biggest Pike that Daryl has ever seen. At least it is back in the water and ready to be caught another day!

Aug 28 2012-Brad, Judith, and Aiden

Brad, Judith, and Aiden came up to Muskoka for a day to fish, have a picnic, and go for a swim. Brad managed to catch the first Bass of the day!

I caught this nice Bass shortly after Brad.

Aiden goes for his first swim in Lake Muskoka, and he had a great time!

Aug 26 2012-3 Hour Cruise

After a fabulous breakfast at Patterson-Kaye Lodge, we headed back to the Marina to pick up Diane and Floyd for a 3 hour cruise!

We did a little sight seeing.

We caught a little fish!

And of course the girls went for a little swim!

Aug 26 2012-Breakfast at P.K. Lodge

Today we are going to Patterson-Kaye Lodge for a buffet breakfast on the patio!

We parked the boat at their dock. The water level is so low, the boat is actually on the bottom!

Breakfast is served!

Our view looking towards the George Road public boat launch! Great meal, and now back to Allport Marina to pick up Diane and Floyd for a 3 hour cruise!
