March 6 2013-Lots of Ice:No Fish

 Once again Udo and I are heading out to our favorite fishing spot.

 There is lots of ice! Even the trucks are driving around out on the lake.

 As you can see, there is lots of ice! Udo is on his knees and still drilling!

 Now the waiting game.

Still waiting. A least it wasn't too cold. No fish this time. At least we enjoyed the nice weather. Better luck next time!

Feb 25 2013-First Lake Trout of the Season!

 Today Udo and I are heading out to Lake Rosseau to try and catch a few Lake Trout. There was lots of snow and lots of slush.

 First Lake Trout of the 2013 season was caught by Udo. It was not big, but it was a fish!

 My first Lake Trout was a little bigger. It also had a rather large Smelt in its belly. It was a wonder that it was even hungry!

 Another Lake Trout caught by Udo. Again, it was not very big, but it was beautiful!

I caught the last fish of the day. Great day and a lot of fun!

Jan 28 2013-Joanne's Birthday

 Today is Joanne's Birthday! First we celebrated at work with a birthday cake.

 Then we celebrated with friends.

 Then the presents.

More cake!

And finally we celebrated Joanne's Birthday by ourselves. Look! A new fishing reel and the lure to catch a big Pike. Happy Birthday Joanne. Love you!

Jan 25 2013-Now The Living Room!

 The Entrance is done. The hall is done. Now the living room!

 One wall is finished!

 Cutting in is always the slow part.

 At least I have Havoc to help. Look, I have the same markings as the cat!

The living room is all painted. Just have to put everything back in place and we're done!

Jan 15 2013-Painting the Hallway

 Now it's time to paint the hallway. This is a before picture. Notice the book shelf.

 Ceiling is all done. Now the walls. Notice the book shelf.

 Wall are all done. Doors are being painted. Then the trim. Notice the book shelf.

Jan 10 2013- Time To Paint

 It's time to paint! Winter is a good time to get some painting done. We are starting with the entrance and the stairway walls. Joanne starts with the high, hard to reach areas.

Then she paints the upper walls.

 Next, all the lower walls.

Now the front door and the cupboard doors.

All finished! Next job, the upstairs hallway, all the doors and trim. Joanne does a great job!

Jan 9 2013-First Day Of Ice Fishing

 First day of ice fishing in 2013 with Udo on Bluege Lagoon! First thing we do is to get Udo to drill all the holes.

Then we bait all of our lines with worms. Then we wait, and wait, and wait.

Then after waiting and waiting, and no bites; we pack up and leave.

A quick check on the boat. 

Then a rescue mission. No fish but we had a fun day!
