May 12 2009-Fishing From the Dock
It was a beautiful sunny day, so Joanne and I decided that it was a good day to buy flowers for the boat and get them planted. Joanne supplied a couple of new ceramic planters.
While we were down at the boat, Joanne wanted a few tips on casting and reeling.
During our lessons, along came a Pike to check and see if we were doing it right!
I guess we were doing something right. This almost monster Northern Pike measured 32 inches and weighed 8lb 3 oz. Joanne wasn't crazy about holding the fish up for photo shot. Something to do with all those big nasty teeth. She must be waiting for a bigger fish!
This fish provided us with some excitement and entertainment. Time to say goodbye and hopefully catch it another day.

That doesn't look like a lake trout. So how did Joanne like the fish last night?
